A Hierarchical Approach to Prevent Combustible Dust Explosion

In their recent report by combustible dust fire and explosion hazards research organization Dust Safety Science, in the first half of 2021 alone, 51 combustible dust fires and 28 dust explosions worldwide occurred. These incidents led to 44 people being injured and eight fatalities. Dust Safety Science started collecting this data in 2016 and reported on average 31 dust explosions annually worldwide. In a year consisting of 52 weeks, one dust explosion incident happens every other week. A dust explosion is not remote at all.
